1. Confidence. When I first started reading blogs I loved the effortless style that all the online personalities seemed to exude. I was always envious of their confidence and figured I would never have the nerve to wear whatever I wanted like they seemed to. Now I don't know if I'm just older and wiser or what but I wear 'cool' outfits all of the time now, things I would never have dreamt of wearing six months ago! I think a large part of this is because writing about fashion and beauty makes me do more research into current trends and therefor feel more confident about my style.
2. Focus/Time Management. To be able to work, dance, blog and have time for family and friends I've had to really buckle down and focus. There's no way I can fully commit to a dance class if I'm worried about having enough blog content, and vice versa. Part of the reason I was absent for so long from this space was my in-ablity to really focus on writing for you guys. Blogging helps you realize that planning out your time and focusing on one thing at a time is extremely productive.
3. Love for Writing. Okay so I always knew I loved to write but I never seriously considered it as a career until I started blogging. Being able to write so regularly has reminded me how much I enjoy it and made me want to write as my day job!
4. Comparison. As I mentioned earlier I've always looked at bloggers as stylish people with some magic secret about how they get their style. This never really bothered me in the past because they seemed so separated from my 'real' life. But when I joined the 'other' side I started to feel this constant need to have the coolest outfits and most current gadgets. I was visiting my favourite blogs daily just to lust over their perfectly lit, styled and beautified posts. Now I've gotten a lot better and realize that blogging is about sharing your passions and love with people, not about tearing yourself down for not being perfect. However I will always be jealous of someone who can pull of leather pants and a fur vest. #dreamoutfit
Since starting this blog I've learnt some good things and some bad things about myself. At the end of the day I love being part of the blogging community and can't wait to continue learning and growing!
P.S. Link your #dreamoutfit below. I'd love to see them!!

So I know I haven't been blogging for too long, but I have been reading blogs for a couple of years now. I wanted to talk a little bit about what changes when you transition from being a reader to being a writer.
