Today I want to share with you a collection of things I purchased from Sephora. I know it doesn't seem like it, but I hardly ever go on shopping sprees at Sephora. I get most of my beauty supplies from Walmart, however I wanted to treat myself and getting a package of beauty products in the mail seemed like the best idea!! I wanted to try all of these things for a few weeks so I could share with you my opinions on the products I bought!
Alterna Bamboo Plumping Strand Expand: This is what I was most excited about, as someone with pretty thin hair I am always looking for ways to make my hair appear thicker! I love this stuff, you put it in your hair and blow dry it like normal. You're looking in the mirror thinking that your hair looks pretty much the same until it's fully fry and BAM! You have thick luscious hair! My only complaint with this product is that you can't apply it to wet hair and let air dry, you have to use a blow dryer which I don't normally do. I've started using one more because my hair looks so amazing when I use this stuff!!
Glamglow Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment: I have heard so many awesome things about Glamglow but was hesitant to purchase this because of the steep price tag. I needed to spend 20 more dollars to qualify for free shipping from Sephora so I bought a small jar hoping it'd be worth it. I've been using this once a week (twice if my skin is angry) and I am in love. My skin is crazy soft and my breakouts have been pretty much non-exsitent. This is definitely more gentle than the classic Glamglow mask and my sensitive skin loves the mild but effective formula of it. I will definitely re-purchase this.
Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion: I've been sprtizing this on my hair morning and night. I've noticed my hair is slightly less dry, though it hasn't made as big a difference I had hoped. It smells amazing and works decently, if you're hair isn't as dry as the desert (like mine) you would probably enjoy this. However my hair needs a more powerful tonic so I will not repurchase.
Bliss Rock the Party Pack: This has 4 different items and I have extremely mixed reviews about them. The firming lotion does a pretty good job, I use this pretty sporadically so I can't give you a fully informed review. It tingles on my skin and firms it a bit after 3 applications so I think it would work pretty well used morning and night like you're supposed to! I hate the energizing mask. I rarely use the 'H' word but I have to here. It made my skin look nice the night I used it, but when I woke up the next morning my face looked grey! Ew! I tried it a few times and every time after I few hours my skin looked sallow, never again will I use this. The hand cream works decently well, not as good as my Aveeno everyday lotion, but good enough to keep in my purse. I haven't tried the under eye mask yet but I'll keep you guys posted. In the end I won't repurchase this pack again, I don't really use the firming lotion but it does work fairly well so I might repurchase if I ever feel like I need it.
Sephora Collection Precision Sponge: This is basically a knock off of the Beauty Blender! I got it for 9 dollars and I adore it!! My skin has been behaving really well so I've been looking for something to apply my foundation slightly more sheer. This is perfect, it reaches all of my faces corners while not applying too thick. I'm sure you could build you foundation with this but I haven't felt the need yet. My only issue with this is I can't really clean it very well. Any tips? I will repurchase for sure!
I give myself a pat on the back for not buying any mascara (I did get 3 or four free samples though!!)
I love buying from Sephora because you get so many free samples and there's always codes to give you more free stuff and any girl will agree that things are always better when free!
