I've saw this go mug a couple of weeks ago and have been wanting it ever since. It is just so happy and cheerful!!
I always regret not buying the Starbucks mug with hearts on it from last season, so this year I told myself to suck it up and spend the 20 dollars. Let me tell you I couldn't be more happier that I did!!
I love Apple Cider, it's my one of my all time favourite holiday drinks! However I hate the pre-packaged stuff, I think they have a weird chemical taste. Not yummy at all, am I right? So I've come up with a super easy and delicious recipe to make at home!
You should already have most of these ingredients, if not all of them, in your kitchen. Here's what you need:
Throw all of your ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Once cider reaches a full boil reduce to medium heat and simmer until cinnamon sticks open, about 10 minutes.
A sure fire way to tell if your cider is ready is by smell, once the steam stops smelling like apples and starts to smell more like cinnamon you know your cider is ready!
I hope you enjoy this recipe! Let me know if you try it and if you like it.
There's a reason people say Christmas is the most magical time of the year: this season seems to bring out the best in people.
There are so many things I like to do this time of year, so I've compiled my top 10 things to do over the holiday season:
My hometown is in the midst of a major snow fall so I am currently combining number 1 an 5 on this list. My sister, my cat and myself are drinking coffee and watching Hallmark movies while it snows more and more outside.
I hope you guys get some ideas from my Holiday checklist! Make sure to let me know if there's anything you decide to do off of this list!
Has anyone else been noticing how much I love 'me days' lately? I'm not anymore stressed than I usually am, and I'm super happy so I'm not sure what this is about. Maybe I'm just realizing how important taking care of my own self is. Ahh to be old and wise.
Anywhooo. I thought I'd share with you guys my favourite way to unwind after a busy day, my rest and relaxation ritual (hence the post title). Sorry for the super dark photos, apparently pictures taken in a small dark room turn out poorly lit.
I like to treat my bath time like detox time, so I throw some epsom salts into my bath (I forgot to take a picture of those), light a bunch of candles, add in some bubbles and drink a detox water.
First: This bubble bath is amazing, my mom bought it for me because I love Rapunzel and (obviously) she's on the container. But I love it so much, it smells like delicious grape magic, I'm obsessed.
Second: Detox water is the bomb. The one pictured is my favourite and has 1/3 of a lime (cut up), a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of raw honey. It tastes like you're drinking juice but you're actually helping keep your digestive system healthy and encouraging weight loss and getting rid of bloating!
Third: Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxer so you literally melt into the tub, in the very best way.
I literally just got out of the bath, but writing this post makes me want to jump right back in. I love baths and find them so relaxing. They're also a great time to think of blog posts. ;)
Lately I've been seeing faux fur decorations all over the place! A lot of my favourite bloggers have been using faux fur decorations and it has inspired me to hunt for my own faux fur accessory! Below are some of the pictures that inspired me! Fun fact: A Spoonful of Style is what inspired me to start And Everything Nice, I have so much respect and admiration for Jade, if you don't already follow her you need to (insert heart eye emoji here)!
I've fallen in love with the idea of a white faux fur pillow, but haven't been able to find a reasonably price one. Until now! I went to Ikea with my mom and sister, just to browse, but I stumbled upon the cutest pillow ever:
How adorable is this? I think it makes my bedroom look more playful, I'm so very in love with this pillow you guys! This pillow was $20 total; which, compared to the other pillows I looked at, is extremely cheap.
Remember to check out my faux fur inspirations (if you don't already love them). I hope you guys love my pillow as much as I do!!
Winter is upon us, which means shorter days and colder weather. Translation: I want to stay in my warm, cozy bed for as long as possible. Sometimes you just have to stay in bed for as long as possible and get ready in under 5 minutes, like this morning for me!
Cardigan (old, similar here and here) // Shirt // Leggings // Boots (current style here) // Necklace (old, obsessed with this)
I think this outfit looks nice and put together, but you can be ready at a moments notice! Quick outfits like this give you extra time to sip your coffee and visit with your family. I added my usual winter jacket and backpack, then went off to school!
TARGET SHIPS TO CANADA!!! I know. I know. I'm a bit late to the game, but better late than never. Right? With Targets' Christmas selection available to purchase (and ship), I have renewed excitement!
Most of my classes have entered the 'group project' stage. Which, for me, means I spend most of my class time online shopping. The Target Christmas selection melts my heart, I literally want everything.
I promise you guys, I didn't mean for this wish list to have a white and gold theme, it just kind of happened. On the plus side: white and gold are pretty neutral colours, so you won't have to put away your usual decorations! I like all of these items so much because they're a simple way to add Christmas spirit into your house!
Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year, my family uses this season as a time to bond. It's the one time of the year we're all together, so I get a little ridiculous when it comes to Christmas spirit!
